Hours

The courts are generally open, weather permitting, from early April through the end of November. The hours shift during the season according to daylight, but roughly follow this schedule:

April: 7:00 am to 7:00 pm

May–August: 7:00 am to 8:00 pm

September: 7:00 am to 7:00 pm

October: 7:00 am to 6:00 pm

November: 7:00 am to 4:00 pm

Remember that these are clay courts and are closed by rain. Depending on the time of year and amount of rain, they can take anywhere from 3 to 24 hours to dry. Please call the RCTA Hotline for weather-related updates and projected re-opening times following any rain: (212) 978-0277.

The red clay courts are located on the Hudson River, off the Hudson River Greenway (bike path), in Manhattan's Riverside Park at approximately 96th Street. The courts can be reached by bike or foot via the pedestrian tunnels that run underneath Westside Highway at 101st and 91st Streets.

There is a free parking lot at the courts. The lot is directly off the southbound on-ramp to the Henry Hudson Parkway at 96th Street. There are two approaches:

Driving Directions from 96th Street:

Drive west on 96th Street. After passing underneath Riverside Drive, bear right on the northbound on-ramp to Route 9A, Henry Hudson Parkway. Stay in the right lane and immediately take the exit marked Henry Hudson Parkway SOUTH. Follow the off-ramp under the highway. Emerging from underneath the highway on what now becomes a southbound on-ramp to the Henry Hudson, enter the the parking lot on your right.

Driving Directions from the Henry Hudson Parkway – NORTHBOUND:

Go past the 96th Street exit and take the next exit (about 100 yards) marked Henry Hudson Parkway SOUTH. Follow the off-ramp under the highway. Emerging from underneath the highway on what now becomes a southbound on-ramp to the Henry Hudson, enter the the parking lot on your right.

Driving Directions from the Henry Hudson Parkway – SOUTHBOUND:

Take the West 95th Street exit off the south-bound Henry Hudson. Follow the off-ramp under the highway and up to the intersection of Riverside Drive and 95th Street. Continue one block on 95th Street to West End Avenue. Turn left onto West End and left again onto 96th Street then follow the directions above.
